Meisner Group Acting Lessons
Get out of your head. Trust your instincts. Bring truth to your work.
Whether you're brand new to acting or looking to deepen your craft, my Meisner-based group classes offer a supportive, challenging space to explore what it means to be fully present, connected, and truthful in your work.
Meisner Technique Foundations
Starting with the repetition exercise, you'll progress through a series of improvisational exercises, each building upon the last. You'll strengthen your ability to listen, respond instinctively, and live truthfully in the moment before bringing those skills into scene work.
Meisner Scene Study
Go beyond memorizing lines and delivering a performance. Through improvisation, exploration, and a Meisner-based approach to scene work, we'll break down the material, explore the relationships and circumstances, and uncover your own authentic connection to each scene.
Classes are offered for teens and adults, both in person and on Zoom. An age-appropriate Meisner class for tweens is also in development.
All experience levels are welcome! Whether you're just starting out or have years of training, reach out and let's find the right fit for you.
Built Around You
Private coaching is completely personalized to the actor and the work in front of you.
Depending on what you need, a session might focus on:
audition preparation and scene work
self-tape preparation
character and script analysis
making clear, compelling choices
working through challenging material
getting out of your head and into the scene
building confidence before an audition
preparing for specific work on set
finding greater ease, presence, and authenticity in your performance
There isn't a one-size-fits-all lesson plan. We start with where you are and focus on what will serve you most.
How To Act
Audition Coaching/Self-Tape Coaching
Have an audition coming up? Use your session to get fully prepared before you press record or walk into the room.
We'll work through the material, explore your choices, and make sure you feel grounded enough to let your performance come through rather than trying to “get it right.” Get another set of experienced eyes on your performance and personalized direction to help you make stronger choices, settle into the scene, and submit a tape you're confident in.
On-Set Coaching
Sometimes you need support once you're already working.
Private coaching can help you prepare for specific scenes, work through material, or find your footing on set so you can stay present and responsive when it matters.
Guest Instructor
Bring me into your studio, school, or community for a Meisner workshop or class tailored to your students' unique needs, experience levels, and goals.
